In the heart of old Nantucket...
The Brigham Galleries has been receiving rave reviews and has carved out a very distinct niche in a town filled with art. Bringing many of today’s top emerging and established artists to Nantucket for the first time, the Gallery features Representational paintings in the styles of Classical Realism, Impressionism and Abstracted art. I have searched far and wide to find artwork that is unique and answers a resounding “Yes” to the question, “Would I want to live with this piece?”
The Gallery is working with a number of internationally renowned portrait artists who are now accepting commissions. The artists include several emerging talents as well as established artists who are recognized as some of the most talented portrait artists painting and sculpting today.

Several artists are creating specialty pieces of fine art to commemorate weddings. All have mastered their medium and deliver artwork of impeccable quality. Martine Vaugel, internationally acclaimed sculptor who has sculpted former President Reagan, Katherine Hepburn, Mahatma Gandhi and Sylvester Stallone (among others) is now sculpting unique Wedding Portrait Bas-Reliefs. Yuki Murata creates Custom Heirloom Wood Marquetry Frames which are ideal for a very unique Ketubah or wedding portrait. Sarah Gilbert is a glass artist who individually blows figurative glass stemware for dinnerware collections.
For lovers of art and travel, artist Jan Brough is leading "Art Tour & Instruction Trips" to Rome this fall. Brough has trained classically with the internationally renowned living master, Frank Mason (American, b.1922). The trips have a perfect blend of time for exploring Rome individually and ‘scheduled time’. Brough will guide beginning and advanced artists through three evenings of plein aire painting and three mornings of art tours, noting examples of Bernini, Boromini and Caravaggio’s work throughout. Please inquire for more information.
Please browse through the site, stop in when you are on island, and feel free to call with any questions or comments.
